5 gallon planted shrimp tank

I have an old 5 gallon cylindrical tank sitting around and would like to transform it into a planted shrimp tank. For lighting I was thinking either a cfl bulb hanging over the tank or a circline bulb and possible build a hood for it. Any suggestions on lighting appreciated. For filtration I was thinking of taking out the ugf and adding a in tank filter as a hob would be difficult to use. Could this setup work?

I've been looking at tanks because I want a cube tank not cylindrical and I saw the aqueon evolve 4. Is this a good tank? Anything else I should look for?
