I'm planning on starting to introduce plants to my 10 gallon tank, but I know my light isn't exactly suitable for them. I have the Marineland LED light. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1429647193.221892.jpg
Anyone got an alternative idea for lights?

I literally just set up my 10 gallon planted tank, my first ever planted tank. Tiger Terror recommended a Finnex stingray LED. Cost me $40, and I'm very satisfied with it so for. The 20 inch is a solid medium light for a 10 gallon.

I'm using an 18" long LED strip similar to the marineland one for my 10g. And it has been strong enough for all our plants.

I have that that light, it does not grow plants. This light is a better option http://www.amazon.com/Finnex-FugeRay-Planted-Aquarium-Moonlights/dp/B00GH9HS80

A planted plus on a 10 is a big commitment. Stingray or current sat plus (not pro ) would be a better option.

I have the current on my 10, now I feel I should have gotten the planted plus.

Planted plus sitting on a 10 really needs co2. It's a powerhouse.

Shoot.. even with co2 there is 29 other things that will ruin your weekend:/ moral of the story? Planted plus will.only let you off easy at 18+ inches from substrate.. 10"?? Game on!!
