Aquascaping with Hydrocotyle spp.

I recently received some Hydrocotyle leucocephala from an unnamed benefactor and have been growing it in as a mid- to background plant. I've used it around a large piece of lace rock in my tank and I like the way it blends with Hydrocotyle verticellata as a foreground plant in front of it. I thought I would share a couple of pics to see what you guys think

Very nice! it has a beautiful layered look to it. The H. verticillata at the bottom blends in nicely too.

I hadn't given any thought to creating a "forest" with mine. Now you've just made me angry that I didn't. LOL

Bill. I've been weaving the stuff in and out of itself just to make it get thicker. H. leucocephala is a really easy plant to grow, probably the easiest of the Hydrocotyle spp. that I've kept. It evens grows well in the shade. Got to love that

The way you've layered that side makes your tank look even deeper. It looks great. Love the close-up with the baby fish.
