Bubbling stems

Is it normal for a cut stem to continue to bubble for weeks after it has been cut? My L. Repens has been bubbling from the cut ends non stop for a couple weeks with no signs of slowing down.

Yes, this is quite normal. It will do this til it repairs itself, which is sometimes quick and other times not so quick.
