Freshwater live plant food!!! HELP!!!

Has anyone ever heard of using Jobe house plant spikes in their aquarium??? Where I get my plants, The guy swears by them! He has been doing it for years he says. Please give some feedback on this!!!!!

Never heard of it. I use liquid carbon for my plants. They seem to like it!

I've seen it on the web. I was looking to try it also. From what I understand, you should break off the spikes in a bunch of pieces. Where do you get them from.

My closest fish pal uses them in his planted tanks with great success. I personally prefer to use osmocote frozen in water in tiny icetrays to make fertcycles in place of root tabs.

What about other types of granules? Other brand of slow release fertilizer. I don't get either at my hardware stores in town. (osmocote or aforementioned spikes)
