Hey,

So I am about 1 month into my planted tank, and guess what?! Its NOT dying! :D Seems like my Vals grew a stem 2in away from the bunch and it dug itself in the gravel and now i have 4-5 new "strands?" coming out! :D :D

But I have a question here, everything seems to be doing very good, and I have my lighting at >50% capacity, but I plan on getting a few top dweller fish (they tend to jump), so I am debating on putting the glass back on top of the aquarium... How much lighting will I lose at the ground? Should I even get these top dwelling fish, and just living w/ the plants and open top?

I am only running my lamps at 50% of its output, so I have room to up it (Current Satellite + Pro).
