Plants and LEDs

Fort used LEDs in his 12g long thread. That may be worth checking out.

In general and in my opinion, LEDs are a viable alternative to fluorescent technology, but it still has 5-10 years before it can compete with T5HO technology in terms of output, results, AND price. They're just too expensive right now to get what you need, unless you DIY yourself a fixture (in which point it may be comparable).

Expensive fixture, but I fell in love with the look of it :)

Grows many of the same plants my mini CFLs grow, but the "spread" is less. The corners of the tank are darker. Luckily I love Crypts, so I put lots of Crypts as well as other random stuff. I need to update my pics, but there are some in my profile or linked at the bottom.
