Stands

So I have been wanting to change my substrate for my 20gallon from gravel to sand. And I only wanted to do it when I bought a new stand. Right now my tank is in the sunlight sitting on a ledge that I wont be able to move and the algae is just loving it. So I thought about buying a stand to have some algae control but they are 40$! I thought maybe building a stand would be cheaper. If you have any advice could you please give me some directions or pictures that would would be great.

If you check out the DIY forum on this site, you'll find some stickies and lots of threads about building your own stands if you're so inclined. You can also always look on craigslist for stands in your area.
