Can I add a powerhead?

I have a 12 gal ECLIPSE FOWLR, it's still relatively new I would like to make it into a Nanoreef when I am ready to add corals (mushrooms & polyps). Still a long way off, but I would like to know if I can add a power head to increase water movement without having it attached to a filter of any kind. This is probably a dumb question.
If yes, what would you recommend?

Sure, you can add one. I would recommend it. In that size tank, I'd probably go with one of the Mini Jets by Aquarium systems or maybe an Aquaglobe. I think the Mini Jet is a better quality product and it has adjustable flow. I believe the MN606 will do up to 153gph.

Yeah....powerheads are great additions...more water flow the better!
