I am getting ready to start my 75 gallon tank. If I use LR from my other two tanks along with some of the water will my 75 still cycle? I will also be seeding the new sand with the sand I already have. Cant wait to get started and see all my fish together with room for more.

You can use the rock, there is nothing in the water that would do you any good. A lot of people will use rock from their tanks to seed new rock. Just know that it still will have a small cycle, so pay attention for that.

+1 for Jimbo's advice. If it does cycle it'll be small since the LR already has an established bacteria colony. Good luck on the new 75!

I agree with Jimbo also. As he said there is no carry over in the water of the bacteria. It resdes on surfaces like LR and sand and glass surfaces.

I think I will still use it, just means less new to mix up.
