Switch to ro/di water

I had to use tap water when moving tank. I need to switch to ro water and was wandering what the safest route would be. Should I do partial changes over a period of time and if so what do you all suggest

Are there fish in this tank if so I would do partials if not I don't think it matters.

Yes there are fish in it. What should I do about 10 percent weekly

You could do like 25% just like a regular water change I don't think changing from tap to ro makes any difference its just purer thats all.

OK just have .25 ppm phosphate. Having little algae issue so I want to get phosphate in check
