I'm from Michigan. I'm a retired educator. A friend no longer wanted his aquaruim and I willing took it off his hands. I learned from YouTube and various fish shops how to cycle and setup my 75 gallon tank. I wanted colorful fish. But I wasn't willing to establish a salt water tank. I was told Cichlichs would provide me with hours of enjoyment.
So, in 2015 I set up my cichlid tank. Currently, I have 16 African cichlids. Basically this was the first time I setup and owned a fish tank. Everyday I'm learning more and more. I look for to belonging to this group.
