Been on the forum for a few months now. researching / reading everything i can.
Finally taking the plunge and getting a 55g off of craigslist this evening (35$ with stand)

Looking to eventually do a low-tech planted tank, schooling fish, etc. pretty mainstream.

first tank in about 10 years so have the basics in mind, just need to get started.

Welcome! I took a long break (10+ years) and found that a lot changes once I returned. There is so much technology out there now and forums like this one are a big help.
Lots of experts here so ask as many questions as you can.
