Another 100g stand question - sorry

So FINALLY getting 100g set up put together & have a *another* question. Could I put felt or some other kind of protective cover on the bottom side of the 4x4s to
A) make it easier to move things along the ceramic tile floor while getting things into place
B) give a bit of cushion between tile & 4x4s once tank is fully set up
I am hoping that since I want to fully cover the bottom of the 4x4s it would not make any difference in their support abilities

Get those little furniture pads? You have to shim it level though.
