Hi, it's been a year since I got my Metal Halide fixture, so I've decided to change the bulb soon, but I've heard many different opinions about the spectrum. Which spectrum should I buy (10000k 14000k or 20000k)?

I have another question, does anyone know the difference between 150HQI and 250HQI, I have a fixture that can hold 250HQI bulbs, can I put a 150 HQI bulb in? Thanks :thanks:

The difference is 1 is 150w and the other is 250w. No, you can't put a 150w bulb in there. Besides the fact they are different sizes physically, the 250w ballast would more than likely blow it out real fast.
Look into the Phoenix 14k 250w HQI bulb. They are nice bulbs.

Also, I have 2 actinic power compacts with my metal halide fixture, would adding a 15000K (note- NOT 14000K) MH bulb work well? Or should I just stick with the 10000K MH bulb?
