I had a 30gallon hex and decided its time to upgrade =p. So far i got the 55g the stand, rock, and some decor. i need help deciding what else to add to the tank decor wise. and i sadly could not put a canistor filter due to $$$ and me and my wife having our first baby which is due in 2 or 3 weeks haha. here is how its going so far.

The tank will play host to mostly fresh water shark, Bala sharks, Rainbow sharks, silver tip sharks, etc.

Welcome to AA :) Just a note, but bala sharks, and im pretty sure some of the others, will get way too big for a 55g tank. They will be ok for a while, but they eventually get huge, like over a foot long... They also get very ugly once they start getting big too

shhhh dont tell the wife thats how i get a 120g and just pretend i didnt know
