If yes how many of each should be good for a 40gallon?
Can i breed khulii loaches and african dwarf frogs in the same tank?

I would advise against it. You could probably get them to breed just fine, but I'm sure that either the fry or tadpoles would end up becoming dinner for someone. I mean, unless you plan to remove the eggs or the parents...

I may take them out if they do breed. I'm still unsure how many of each would go good in about 40 or 55gallons. I don't want to under or overstock. Thanks

It's recommended for ADF's to have about 2.5 gallons a piece, and I'm not sure about khuli's, probably pretty similar
