Do platies store sperm like guppies?

I've never had platies before and I brought a pregnant one home the other day. I was wondering if she'll have several batches?

afraid so, ibought 2 female platies to start of my fish tank as i was told the would be good fish to help mature the aquarium, they both turned out to be pregnant and we had batch after batch. inall my innocence i phone the supplier and asked them how on earth could i be getting all these batches of fish without a male of course the answer was as you suspect the store sperm and can have pregnancies at will. good luck ......
