Best scrubber for glass? The one on the handle works for really scrubbing but it's annoying to remove my hood and light to use it and recommendations for an in tank scrubber?

Aqueon makes a magnetic one that I bought on a whim and love. Way better than the MagFloat I used to use.

And yay girlfriend and I did our Christmas, she got me a seaclone 100. I picked it put as a good starter skimmer and it should be more than enough on a 38 gallon tank

She sounds like a keeper!!!

What is the best way to raise salinity? I have an instant ocean hydrometer telling me its 1.024 and my refractometer that I got for Christmas is saying 1.020. I was think I could symphony out a few gallons add a little salt and dump in a few times a day until it is actually 1.024/1.025. Does that sound slow enough?

Like hank said you want it to be a slow transition. The way I adjust salinity is mixing my water changes at exactly what I want it to be in the end and also top off with saltwater instead of fresh water until I am where I wanna be.

Many skimmers do which is the reasoning behind sumps having bubble traps. I've also noticed the cleaner my water is the more bubbles that make it out of my skimmer so as it breaks in and starts pulling more "gunk" out of your tank that'll trap more of these bubbles in the body and neck of the skimmer.

It would help some but I don't like to restrict the intake on pumps as this can shorten their lifespan.

I use panty hose to reduce noise and microbubbles. 99 cent fix I change monthly. Have them on all return piping on my system.

Are pantyhose as effective as filtersock for microbubbles? im going thru filtersock every 2-3 days because the water starts overflowing the top of the sock im only using it for microbubbles not detrius and such so im wondering if i should switch
