I know everybody does!! It's at Petco. The other side is rocks & wood, called mystic. I forget what the ocean side is called. I have it on the mystic side now ;)

I might have to check that out!!!

I was going to go with a plain blue background but I like that one!!! It might be the final choice!

Lol. Not surprised that everyone seems to like that background. A nice and calming blue. :)

That's a pretty nice stock!!! I love long finned anything!! They are so hard to find though. Where'd you get your gold tetras???

I have a Petsmart that is really good, all of my LFS are saltwater down here in South Florida and I while I don't mind the idea of buying fish online, 35 dollars to ship fish just isn't happening.

The Petsmart has clean tanks and a lot of cool different fish. They even special order fish, I have a large Petco that will do the same thing.

At the Petsmart I only buy during the week because there is a young girl that works there that loves taking care of the tanks and she works a lot during the week, you can tell she take a lot of pride in it.

Plus they have such a big section they actually have a supervisor over the section.

I have talked to the girl at petsmart what i learn here about fishless cycles, how to properly test the water (how you have to shake the heck out of the Nitrate #2 bottle to get a proper read), QT's, and acclimating the fish. Its cool because they have all picked up on it and I heard one of the guys said he was reading AA to help people that come in with problems.

So that is where I buy my fish.

This will definitely look a lot better than plain blue.

As a matter of fact I just ordered it on eBay for $8!!! It's sized to fit a 29 gallon exactly!!! THANKS FOR THE PIC! Without it I would've never known lol.

For once, I actually like a background. Lol. It looks pretty natural and nothing out of the ordinary. :)

Thanks, that means a lot!! I feel intimidated a lot on here. But I think I have good fish tank "taste." Ha! I work so hard then get poo'ed on by pros who don't think my tank is "perfect" as it could be. We're not all perfectionists & have other things going on in our lives besides our fish tanks! I'm just starting SW & feel like a like a VERY little fish in a big pond!!

I checked out this thread b/c I'm always thinking about adjusting my stock as things change--gotta plan ahead! I had started out wanting all fish that would MAYBE get along w/ my Crowntail Betta as the ornamental fish in the tank. He passed away shortly after i got the tank, never got to get him in there.(

So that's why I have all such passive nano fish ;)

on my 55 gallon I have an underwater blue and sand background, it was a peel and stick one. It goes with my theme of fake corals and sand substrate. On my 29 gallon I painted the back black and there is one big Coral piece in the middle.

Oh. Sorry to hear the beta died without even seeing his "master house". What fish did you end up putting in the tank?

I painted my 30 gallon black too.

Flvol77... where in SFL approx? Me too. I feel like SFL is TEAMING w/ aquarium stores!! I have the most fantastic one so close to my house, I am blessed. I also have a WONDERFUL
Petco lady whose extremely knowledgeable AND a Pet Supermarket guy who definitely knows his stuff. The mom & pop place is out of this world. I had to replace a pump on my SW, they even put it together w/ the perfect tubing cut to length, no charge--that kinda thing, they just want you to have a great experience.

As for backgrounds... I swear by spraying w/ cooking spray & smoothing it w/ a credit card or something. It's so worth the effort!

I have tried smoothing backgrounds but they always end up with at least a few air bubbles. Lol. Backgrounds don't seem to like me much.

That's it... just my 10 neons, 3 Corys & 2 Otos and plants. I think I'm fully stocked ?? I thought about a pair of Dwarf Gouramis so they don't pick on the other fish. But now my focus is on my new SW 75 gal. I bought it used w/ stock so I'm just fretting over that for the moment--my summer project!

They have to be so clean & the tank too AND no old wrinkles although you can work those out too, you may have to come back a few days or week later... boo...

Did the 75 come with all the parts to set it up? What parts are missing?
That is really cool you got a 75 gal. :) I have always wanted a 75.

Yup! With stock & all. Protein skimmer, power heads, sump, stand, live rock & sand--a 3 stripe damsel, scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, sea cucumber, several hermit crabs & snails! All's I had to do was buy some bins for water & live rock, they gave me their water jugs... probably moved 80%+ of the water. The pump quit when I set it back up, all's I had to buy was a pump. I paid the people $100 for the WHOLE set up. Couldn't get thriftier than that!!!

I think the pump just got jarred too much in the move & was probably about to go anyway. I got shocked just touching the sump when I didn't hear the pump run. ACK!! Lesson learned there!

There's a "Tanked" tank (from the show) in SFL at Dunkin Donuts. I think I need to make a pilgrimage this summer!! Ha ha... I gotta tell ya, I have no IRL fish friends besides the LFS people I've bonded with. This forum is it!! This chat tonight was great. I look forward to seeing more from y'all. I'll post pics of the Tanked tank when I make it there ;)
