Okay , but all the other fish will work ?

No, they won't work in the long run. You will have some initial success, maybe for several months to a year. Then as the fish begin to mature and start looking to establish territories, you will start to lose fish. Most commonly available adult Mbuna's are far too agressive for a 3' tank.

Also when you were told that 1- 3 would die, you were given missinformation. If you have a tank of the proper size and properly set-up, you should not lose any fish. African Mbuna are very hardy fish, they don't just die because. They die because people don't do the proper research and don't set-up their tank properly.

Its ok to ask people to not be rude ~ nothing wrong with that. That said however, as a fish owner, you have a responsibility to the fish you have chosen to keep and if you don't want people to be rude or get upset, you need to do your due dilegence and put some actual effort into researching your fish. If you fail to do so, people are going to start posting and telling you in no uncertain terms what you are doing wrong. By posting on a public forum, you have set yourself up for that criticism.

I think you need to choose a type of tank... African Rift or SA/CA. Mixing them never works long term from what I've seen. One of the toughest parts of stocking a tank is planning for the adult size of fish.

Ya lol , okay so I'm not getting the fire mouth , and probably not the Parrot either ( I said " probably " because I know my sister , mom , and Dad will pressure me to get one XD ) instead of the fire can I get one angel fish ? Or do you know of a better fish ?

You should just stick with mbuna, not too many fish mix well with them definitely not angle fish. Plus your tank size limits you, some people on here know more about dawrf cichilds maybe they'll come in with suggestions.

Let them know it's a hybrid fish that doesn't occur in nature. Also it's appearance (hybrid deformity) hinders it's ability to defend itself against other fish and will most likely not do well in your tank so you shouldn't spend money on it. Usually dissuades those who want to add one of these IMO abominations.

It is too late for suggestions on dwarf cichlids when the OP has already stocked the tank with mbuna, unless he plans to return the current stock.

Yea was just giving suggestions that fit her tank better.

Guys , if I got a bristle nose pleco , jewel cichlid ( only if they have small ones ) , and an upside down catfish would it work ?

I would just add the bn pleco

I probably won't end up getting the jewel cichlid because I don't think I've seen babies at my LFS but they always change around their stock , so it will probably be the bn pleco and catfish , I will get a lot of hiding spots for them too

Hiding spots will def help a lot.

Okay :) I might go today to get more plants and maybe 1-2 caves if I find some cheap ones because right now I only have 3 plants and 1 stair thingy that was used for my turtles when I was like 4 lol

Yea Texas holey rock is what I mainly use plants help also by breaking the line of sight. So try to make enough for each fish because mbuna are aggressive and will fight for dominance. Here's a pic of what I have.
