So I was doing a full strip down clean of my 70 gallon. I had an algae overrun after I was away for a few weeks and my light timer malfunctioned, the light were on the entire time I was gone. When I removed one of the little stone caves a small albino bristlenose Pleco (I think it's that) fell out. I haven't had one of those in this tank ever actually can't remember the last time I ever had one. I feel like it's quite a nice surprise, just no idea how he/she would of gotten in. I didn't add any new stock for months the only thing was a couple amazon swords I got from a friend about 2-3 months ago maybe an egg or it was just hanging on. When it comes out again I will post a pic for confirmation

Holy-moly! That seems insane. I would be crazy happy if I found a random pleco in my tank. So far all I find is Molly fry. Haha! Can't wait to see pics.

It's nuts. I've had a butterfly Pleco for years and a large piece of driftwood but none added in the last 18 months or so. Today it seems to be hiding but I'll snap a pic next time I see it

Definitely get a picture when you can! There is a chance a very small pleco baby was clinging to a plant leaf and nobody noticed. they are expert clingers after all.

That's my theory also but I find it strange that I wouldn't see it for months. I clean and inspect my tanks like crazy, but always happier to find a surprise like this then a dead or sick fish

Agreed. It must be an expert at hiding, whatever it is.

He is currently about 1cm or 1/2 inch. I can't seem to find it today. I'm so happy my wife saw it also or else I'd think I was losing my mind

He finally came out of hiding, I tried to get he best pic possible but he bolted quickly

I'll try and get a better one but I'm pretty sure it is

I got a few better pics of him today hanging out on the filter intake ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1398691744.567215.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1398691792.303516.jpg

I have about 8-10 Otos in this tank, it's for sure a Pleco not an oto at all

Looks like a albino bnp to me. Very nice!
