Hey guys! I have a 10g with an Anubias in it, what other plants can go with it and what kind of lighting do I need?

I was hoping to get some kind of moss-like plant growing on the bottom.

What kind of lighting do you have now ??

Java Ferns are also easy. There are several species of Anubias and Java Ferns. Moss Balls or Crypts may work as well.

I use a cheap 2 bulb incandescent fixture and swapped the lights for screw in mini CFLs. The u-shaped ones.

Growing a "carpet" is NOT easy.

As of now, no lighting other than an ordinary light bulb and window lighting.

I've looked at the java ferns. I have been debating between them and a moss.

That stinks to hear that, I love the look of a carpet. But I also get the feeling that it would be hard to clean the tank with a carpet.

Are your cfls in a regular light fixture? No hood? I'm not sure which route I would like to go. But cfl is definitely my number one pick, I just didn't know if the Anubias and any other possible plants could handle the direct light?

Im using a cheap incandescent hood. 2 bulb fixture. So the lights are sideways. So I use mini CFLs as they fit perfectly. I use 10-13 watt bulbs.
