How do you go about contacting them for that kind of information?Have you thought about contacting Wet Spot Tropicals? They aren't listed as wild caught on their site and I've found all the staff there to be very helpful.

They need cool water, high oxygen and high flow. A riverine tank. If you can provide that, they're easy to keep, and you can breed them in that set up. The manifold design I posted a few up was designed specifically for Hillstreams. It's what I want to use to breed mine. Other river inhabitants like the White Cloud Minnows (or Golden Clouds) are perfect for that. Freshwater gobies (Stiphodon, Rhinogobius..) would also work in a river community.I have seen those before and they are pretty for sure! I have recently become obsessed with Hillstream Loaches or Butterfly Plecos. Have you seen any of those? Their only downfall is they are hard to keep and they stay very small.
