Excellent work, i wish i could hide my expenses from wife! I would by now had at least 2 tanks.

Your glosso leaves edges are dark green in pictures, is that green algea?. Some of my plant leaves have dark green edge, is that common? Does that make leaves smaller and curl down eventually?

That is one of the nicest tanks I've ever seen. The night shots are stunning. I could sit and stare at that tank for days. Very, very nice.

Incredible tanks and pictures. You've done some very nice things with your aquascaping and captured it beautifully with the pictures.

I believe the mystery plant is Sunset Hygro.

Also, just in case you weren't aware the Pygmy Cory is actually Corydoras Habrosus and not Corydoras Pygmaeus. Both are dwarf cories, but the markings are a bit different.

Would love some tips on how you take such beautiful pics of your shirmp and other fast moving small objects!

Man that is an awsome looking tank. So many things to look at. Plus some of your pictures, especially those night shots just look great. Very interesting.

I agree with Purrbox on the Sunset hygro; Hygrophila polysperma "Rosanervig" or "Tropica Sunset". That is a fun fast growing plant.

That cory does not look like my C. pygmaeus. The C. habrosus are not generally available around here, and are more sought after. That is what he looks like though.

What kind of puffer is that? Does he eat some of the shrimp?

THAT IS AMAZING!!!

OK,I think my "dream tank" might have to be a 92 bow now, instead of the 120. Ah, maybe both! You should enter that in some of the planted tank contests, it's so unusual, and you'd probably get some nice feedback from the pros on making the tank even better.

I would never get any work done with that tank in my house!

I agree those look like C. habrosus. I have 2, and I got them locally, which is also locally for Glitch. I guess they must be more common here than in other parts of the country?

Thx everyone for your great feedback.

rohitp78: Yes, unfortunately that is algae and it is all to common in my tank. Though I don't have a clue if it makes the glosso leaves curl down. I can tell you that the majority of glosso that has the algae are older leaves.

Purrbox: Thx for the plant and cory Id's.
As for the photo tips you requested. I am no photographer........I only got those shots cuz I took soooo many photos. We literally took over 400 pictures that day. We liked about 80 and posted those fifty. And I can't take pics of things that move fast at all. I think manly cuz I hate using the flash. I just don't like the way the colors turn out with the flash.
I got lucky with the cory............he just came up and decided to pose for me so I clicked off a few and that was the only one that wasn't blurry. And the shrimp.........well they can be lightning fast when they want to be but most of the time they are almost still. Sitting there just chomping away on the algae.

Wood_Dog: Thank you.......and..........no!

Zezmo: It's a dwarf puffer.........I've got two of them. They don't bother anyone but eachother. And even then.......they just chase eachother now and then.......no nipping.
They are one of my favorite fish to watch......I am trying to get some pond snails established in that tank and they just won't permit it. Even the big ones don't last with them. They will just swim up........zone in on the snails head......then snap........they take as big a bite as they can.......which usually kills the snail.

Jchillin: Sorry dude..........the check is in the mail.
;)

newfound77951: Ya I got the 92 cuz it fits so well in the space I have in the livingroom. I was told it was hard to aquascape it......or anything besides a rectangle tank for that matter. But........at this point I'm glad I wasn't put off by that........cuz I think I did ok.

I got the habrosus at rumfords. They had them marked as pygmys though. I had suspected they were mislabeled but wasn't sure.

Fantastic tank! Those macro shots are amazing.

Nice, Nice, Nice....I think my computer is still loading pictures....Its to bad you couldn't get any good pictures of the shrimp! :)

lol ya huh.

They come in second just behind the plants.....in the "easiest to photograph" race.
And if I had snails in that tank there would be a tie for second. :)

Holy wow!!! That is some amazing hardscaping! I simply love the way you went vertical with that tank :)

Next: DANG! The plants are amazing too. This is easily one of the best big tanks I've ever seen. Very, very nice job man:)

I'm with czcz, those macro shots are money too :)

8O OK..........I'm printing and framing Travis's post!! :D

Just in case you didn't know...Your tank is what inspired me Travis.

Well . . . shucks  It makes me feel really good that people have been inspired by my tank, but you have taken things in a whole new direction man. Keep it up :D

when the student out does the teacher.... lol i am sure we all look to travis tank for inspiration. his tank should be a sticky

lol Funk..........I am far from out doing Travis!!

I took some more pics tonight......just a small update.......things are filling in....gonna have to trim it back soon.
I've also cut my fert schedule in half.
I noticed alot of shrimp deaths and thought it might have something to do with that.
But when I cut them back I got an outbreak of staghorn. I think it was the abrupt change.......but it seems to be going away now.

Anyway.......here ya go...
