Thanks, I found a 2229 for 215$ at one site, can't remember but its easy to find. What power filter would you recommend? I have a Penquin 330 on my 29 gal, I have cichlids juives in there right now. Thought for the price I could go wrong with the extra filtration.
I was wondering what would be best for filters. The 2028 canister or the 2229 Wet/Dry filter?? This is going on a 125 gal tank. Two LFS told me 2 different stories. Thought I would run it be you guys/gals to get you opinion.
What would the best filtration be out of the two??
I will...
When you look at some plecos, look for the one that are always moving around and not just laying in one spot.(lazy ones). Brother-in-law has a bristle nose pleco in his 30gal and he was an eater until he got scared and jumped out of the tank.
Rudy, I would add any algae eaters(cory cats or otto) until a month after you get some fish. Talk to someone at the LFS that is knowlegdable about fush and ask them some questions on what will be a good comunnity fish.
If you are looking for an 55 gal. Look in the local paper, you can get...
I found all three brands, Oceanic, All Glass, and Perfecto. Complete with tank, stand, light, and hood. Oceanic went for 628$, All Glass for 620$ and the Perfecto was 489$. Going to look at all three before I buy.
Which one would you buy??
I am wondering what the difference between the two are? Is one better than the other? I priced some at the LFS and the Perfecto was much cheaper, about 130$ cheaper than the All Glass for an 55 gal.
I am looking at buy a tank, the LFS has a 120 and 125 gal for the same price.
The 120 is 48x24x24 and the 125 is 72x18x22. The question I am asking is which one would work out the best. :?:
I have enough space for either one. I am thinking about the 125, since I have more surface space for...
I am looking for heaters that have a temp gauge on the top, not just a knob to turn. Can't remember who made them, but seen them somewhere on the web.
Thanks, Roger
I am getting a 90 gal tank this weekend instead of a 75. For only 15-20$$ more I will get the bigger one.
One question is what brand and style of filter should I purchase for this size of tank. Is there any brand out there that I should stay away from?
Thanks, Roger Rabbit
I got a 10 gal tank for my neice and her Dad gave her a Auratus(Taco) and he was way too aggressive. We have a Bumble Bee, Convict, small Pleco, and to Angle fish in there now. They all seem to get a long, not fighting yet.
Haven't really looked at which ones I will be getting. Just hoping...
I will be getting African cichlids. My brother in-law was at the LFS and seen a 80 gal bow tank setup for about 740$$. The stand is pretty cool I guess. Can't really see spending the extra $$ for 5 more gal. I can get a 75 for 450$ with everything.
