Here's a quick question wrt to SAEs... The LFS around here have been selling two different versions of Flying Foxes... There is the standard Flying Fox... and then one LFS called teh other one "True Flying Foxes" while the other one called them "Siamese Flying Foxes"... I have heard the term...

Hi; My Betta seems to have an uncommon infection judging by the posts on bettas and symptoms. As far as water conditions, I can't give those as I don't have a test kit. I have QT'd into a bucket right now, and I give him 50% - 75% water change everyday. The tank itself is healthy, I did lose...

What about adding it a little bit at a time? and then allowing bacteria to settle on that before removing the old stuff?

I don't think heaters use up all that much electricity ... maybe you could offer to pay your dad for some of your electricity use?

I use Malaysian Trumpet Snails largely for aerating my substrate, and cleaning the scraps of food that make it too the bottom... They work for that quite well... and I am pretty sure I have seen them eating algae, but they may only do this when there is no other food for them? I'm not sure

Bettas should be fine :) Even if he chooses to be aggressive towards the Rasboras.. they will dart nimbly out of his way... and he will miss :P I love it when my Betta gets agressive spurts and charges through my Clouds, it is too funny!

Everytime I see the poor bettas in Pets Unlimited, in their little plastic cups, I want to buy every last one of them and take them home, they look so sad and scraggly :(

definately looking into those screw-ins... my tank temp stays at a pretty steady 78 degrees... the only time it goes up is when it hits 84-86 outside temp.. I'm on the 4th floor of an apartment building with a SouthEast facing window.. this room gets HOTT... but even then, temp doesn't go above...
