The api kit can be hit or miss for alk, but it's better than nothing. Do a few and see what you come up with.
 
So
- water test
- water change
- frag
- move to more flow
- new tank? ;)

Do you know your calc and mg too? Do you know what levels your tank usually runs at? 9 dkh is fine assuming that's where it stays stable at, because when it comes to sps stability of the trace elements (especially dkh) is key.

Fragged off one nice part and a bunch of babies. Since in switching tanks soon, I glued all zoas that were small or on frag plates to the ked red rock. Now I have the keds, watermelons, hurricanes, and those new ones I liked on one rock. :) sad news though... Red monti is un-salvageable :( I looked and it is just too hard to cut off.
