Thanks.
Well I love the 15G column tank but it isn't full of options for critters and fish. The corals I do have other than the loss on the flipping upside down 2 times frag, are doing pretty well for cheapo light bulbs.
Some things have come up and cost is a factor for keeping it up and advancing. I have a few little things and I don't have to go big, I can just add little things and build over time...
But, I am needing to decide as I have about 3 weeks of FW QT for some fish my daughter just got a plunked into the tank with the ones which were ready to leave QT, but she mixed them; ready to move to DT and the new additions together so I can't chance these new fish giving something to the others. Now there are too many to move to the new FW QT, a 16G (12 Cardinals, a Guppy, 2 Melanotaenia boesemani Rainbows, A Opaline Gourami, a Dwarf Gourami, and 2 Bronze Cories) So I now will need to wait to use the 35G Jebo which is what I was thinking about upgrading to.
What your giving up salt , ...........................
why , If it's you need help ... just shout ... were not close but were not that far apart either , I be more than happy to help you understand it better
you got more down than you think ,if you have all them fresh tanks salt is a tad simpler if you think outside the box
week ends are best as wife works during week and has the car
Well thinking of giving it up as a possibility.
The tank hasn't really been any trouble yet, I just don't know as much as I feel I should. I have been working a lot, and with everything being so busy, I am tired a lot. I don't want to short the tank the time it needs, and with very little extra money to put into it, I was thinking I could easily rehome the zillion snails, LR and sand, and my "invisible, ghost shrimp" aka Peppermint and Fire Red shrimp.
So...
The tank needs to be rescaped, because as you mentioned previously the tank is limited in a way as it sits now. It is too full of rock and the shape makes it hard to get to anything to move, adjust, clean, etc. I figured I might try the 35G. So I kept all the rock in there to stay live.
Somewhere is my Koralia powerhead.
Haven't run across it yet.
I have a box which held a UV sterilizer which was given to me, but I broke the bulb.
Could that be used as a refugium, if I can get the light to work again and put in a regular bulb. It also got left out in the rain about a year ago and maybe needs a rewire, new switch. (not sure)
Nothing really goes smoothly. :/
Thank you also.
I might just need to ask more questions.
Everyone said don't be in a hurry. I don't want to make a stocking mistake and waste money and I don't want poison corals to sting me, I have sensitive skin.
So I think I will maybe just plan on the bigger tank. And try a few things but will ask lots of questions first.
Sorry this is so long!
