20 Gallon Stand

Can I use this TV stand to hold a tank this size? If so i can reinforce it with some sturdy plywood? Seems like a good price.

It should. I used to have a 29G on an old computer desk. If the stand is made out of particle board try not to get it wet during water changes. It should hold but i can't make any promises. A full 20G with water, gravel and decoration can way up to 300 pounds.

I'd say the way the stand is now probably not. It supports up to 135 pounds and a full 20 gallon weighs in around 230 pounds. If you were to beef up the supports like you said I'd say it will hold. But again in it's current condition he stand alone will not support the tank. It is a very nice stand though. Good luck.

Why dont you get their 20g stand? I got one for $17 that was in the clearance isle... and it's designed for aquariums, not tv's.
