20gal community tank stocking help

I wonder what fish I should start out with, is it okay to start out with tiger barbs? For Cycling?
Does any one have any sugestions, and plz state quantity.

Please read this article. This much easier than cycling a tank with fish.

Tiger barbs will do ok in a 20 gallon tank.

I will second Rich on recommending a fishless cycle. If you decide to put tiger barbs in your tank after cycling it, they will be fine. You will just have to be careful what you put in with them. They get rather nippy with other fish.

Tiger barbs are easy to die. They are not hardy enough from my experience (6 of 6 lost)and they are also somewhat aggresive. You can try zebra denio, they are really hardy. I bought and put them in a new tank without cycle and they are OK, now two months past.
