29 gal stocking suggestions

Hi there, things have been stable for the last couple of months in my 29 gallon planted tank, and I've been thinking about adding some new stock to the tank. I currently have 1 Angel fish and 7 platies sharing the tank.

Do you think there's room to add new fish? What fish would you add to this setup?

What about some bottom dwelling fish like corydoras or kuhli loaches? (Assuming you have non sharp substrate)

I have a generic natural gravel substrate so it's probably not ideal, I do like corys though. The gravel tends to be quite rounded so it might be ok?

Cory's would work. Just make sure you get at least 6 of a single type or they won't school.
