Just got back from a LFS and I ended up looking at brand new bigger tanks and I asked one of the guys that works there for pricing on a new 40g breeder with stand and he said he personally had a used 40g gallon tank and stand for $150?

What do you guys think? Should I upgrade from my 29g to this 40g breeder? I also have a 55g tank my brother said I can have but I would need to get a stand for it.

Yeah they're are!! I'm still undecided on what I'm going to do.

I think youll be happy with the 40 breeder. Shallower so reef lighting will penetrate to bottom easier, also width is greater so you will have more freedom when it comes to aquascaping. With a 55g many are forces to stack rocks against the back glass in order to have much room. A foot shorter also if space in the house is a concern.

Just a thought.

How many fish do you keep in your 40?

my "want" Stock list for fish is

2 clowns (witch I already have in the 29g)
1-6 line wrasse
1-midas blenny
1-a goby (undecided on which kind)
1-cleaner or fire shrimp

I dont have a 40 but that stock list should be fine. Sounds like a nice list.

That's a little on the high end for used. Is it even drilled?

Um I'm in Napa CA...that's kinda cheap from others I've seen. Its not drilled.
