UPDATES:

So I finally got to set up my new tank today...Yayyy!

Okay, so here are the additions/replacement of what I already have:

- changed the UG filter to Penn Plax Small World filter (decided I am too scared to do a DIY sponge filter...:-() attached to the Hawkeye Air Pump (for now)
- retained the aquarium heater (for now)
- like I've mentioned in the very first post, I put a 10W CFL 6500K T3 in the hood
- bought the CaribSea Eco-complete
- bought 2 lava chips (one of them I attached the fern that is in my 10G)
- bought a roll of java moss today and I wrapped some of them in 2 decorative rocks (experimental)
- transferred the 2 bulbs of lily from my 5G (currently cycling too)

So far, that's it. Used Seachem Prime for conditioner. Had the light timed to turn on for 9 hours during daytime.

UPDATES:

First day of checking the ammonia level since it was set up last Friday...

Ammonia: 0.25ppm

I don't know if the bulbs from the 5G and the java fern from my 10G helped with the ammonia level rising.

I love this cute tank!
