I've recently just bought a 40g tank and was needing some stocking ideas. I don't want an ordinary fish you commonly see. If you have any ideas please let me know! :)

There are rare Corydoras on Aquabid.

Less common sometimes means fragile or special needs. Please research any suggestions before you buy. And consider a QT tank if you want WC fish.

I would do a big group of Dwarf Chain Loaches. But they are too busy for some fish.

An african butterfly fish or some bucktooth tetras would look interesting.

Cheers guys, I'll have a look at those

Here are a few ideas.

Gold Wonder Killies, they get 4"+ are beautiful and aggressive feeders. They will eat anything they can swallow.

Pike Livebearer 4" Males-8"-9" Females a mouth full of razor sharp teeth and an appearance that says don't even think about it. They eat feeder fish.

Red Claw Cherax 8"-12" of giant clawed crayfish-They can't catch fish either!
