Joining the site motivated me to take some new pictures of my tank. I'm not happy with our plant selection, really... they don't flow together very well. Money is limited though so if I revamp it, it will definately take awhile to redo.
Anyways... we went with a less-is-more sort of scheme. My husband is the one who wanted semi-aggressive fish.. I would much rather have had tropical community. You can do so much more with it, IMO, because you dont have to worry as much about who is going to get along with who.
Anyways... We started off with 6 tiger barbs, but unfortunately the smallest of the bunch died not too long ago. Not sure what was wrong with him, but he was always a little smaller and a little less bright than everyone else. I rescued a couple of clown loaches from being flushed by a 'friend' of mine, so there are two of those. We also have a Gold Gourami and a hi-fin pleco. Oh and about 10 baby molly fry that I rescued from work that will be going to my co-workers 36 gallon once she has it cycled properly. (hence the breeder net in the tank)
Anyways... Here are the pics. The first is the full tank, the 2nd/3rd/4th are the left/middle/end of the tank, and the last is my gold gourami. You can see my tiger barbs in the third pic. My other fish are in hiding.
