Am starting a 55 gallon cichlid tank and am on my first week of fishless cycling so it will be a while before I can add fish. I want to keep cichlids a couple of maybe Otos or something to help maintain algae growth and another school of fish to keep the middle and top layers of the water active. Basically question is how many African cichlids with probably about 10 to 12 other fish in here. The school of fish I will add shouldn't get over 2-3 inches in length as it will probably be a school of rasboras of danios or possibly barbs. Something fast enough to get away when being chased by the cichlids. Any help and any suggestions would help thanks.
