I have been cycling my 12g eclipse system for 6 weeks now, still with no nitrites. I currently have 4 zebra danios and an apple snail in the tank. I do weekly 30-40% water changes and use prime dechlorinator.

Ph level: 7.6
Ammonia: 0.25 - 0.50 ppm usually
Nitrites: 0 ppm
Nitrates: 0 ppm

I am unsure of what else to do since it's been such a long amount of time. Any suggestions?

What test kit are you using? Liquid or Strips?

you should have enough fish to start cycling. What test kit are you using? Do you know how much chloramine or chloramines are in your tap water? Sometimes tap water will have too much of one or the other that a normal amount of dechlorinator can't detoxify so the bacteria can't grow. Have you touched the filter media at all?

Using Api Master test kit. Thinking of investing in a kit that measures both types of ammonia from seachem because I use Prime

It can take upwards of 3 months to do a fish in cycke I would say you should start seeing trites soon
