My first Betta tank

1 Male Betta (Ghenghis)
1 Zebra snail
1 java fern
1 hygrophila
Micro sword

Let me know what you think.
My snail was hiding when I took the pics.

Photo doesnt really do him justice. He's very active and loves exploring the tank!

My first tropical tank and I'm very pleased.

Ghenghis seems very sluggish today...hope he pulls through. Not sure what to do about water changes...want to do a water change but if I do it will obviously water down the meds.

I got rid of my bettas ich with just heat alone, slowly raised his temp up to 86 & just did plenty of pwc & it worked great! Just thought I,d say if the meds didn't work for him. Good luck :)

Thanks! He has actually perked up as the evening has gone on and is swimming around a lot. Have cranked the temp up. Going to do a pwc tomorrow.

That's great too hear :)

Yeah I'm relieved but he's still not 100%.

However I've just noticed this substance on the sides of the aquarium. I'm hoping it's just a part of the ick life cycle not something new.

Any ideas?

My phones not too good, but could it be algae? Can't get a full picture on my phone. But that's been in my bettas tank before I just used the algae brush to clean it off :) maybe the meds you used?
