abbreviations for beginners

Well Im fairly new in the whole water world created in these forusm, and one thing I have seen is alot of abbreviation.

abbreviation in terms of fish , equipment and all other sorts.

So what I would like to see if possible is that we could make this a sticky for the newer /noobier people in here like me, so we can serch it like a dictionary.

I will uppdate the list when I can after ppl posts anwers.

Just a heads up, if you mouse over terms like LFS it should open a small window with an explanation.

Edit: doesn't always work. But most new people don't realize it's there.
