Adding fish

I was advised to condition the tank when introducing new fish to my 55 gal African cichlid tank. Is this good practice?

The water in your tank should already have everything removed from being previously conditioned. No need to imo

I thought so, all fish seem to be good 24 hrs later, glad I trusted my instincts
