Hi there,

I have a 60 litre tank that I'm currently cycling (fishless cycle). Looking at options for what I can put in there.

Tank is 60 litres (~15.8 gallons). Base is 60cm long x 30cm wide (23.6 x 11.8 inches).

We were thinking of stocking corys and tetras (probably neons).

I really like the standard size corys (bandits, False Juliis etc) but from doing a little reading, I think from the size of our tank we could only really get pygmy corys in the appropriate school size. Is this right? And what sort of school size could we look at (keeping in mind the tetras)?

It's a bit of a difficult thing to research, as most sites say minimum tank size 10gallons, but I assume that is not taking in to account the recommended school size for the species...

Thanks heaps in advance!

My go to website for this kind of thing is aqadvisor.com.

It's really useful, just put in the filter brand and tank size and input your fish species. Keep in mind that neon tetras do well in groups of +6. Pretty sure the website gives the recommended sizes of schools though.
