Just wondering I have never had a canister filter before is a aheim 2215 enuf for a 44 g tank. its says its rated for 95 g but I have kinda researched on the net and they say the are some what underpowered. Love to hear any input.

Yes, it should be fine... If I remember from your other post, you are going to be using it in conjunction with other power filters for this tank, so you should be good.

The thing to watch regarding canisters is to clean the primary media chamber often to keep it from clogging and slowing down the flow rate. That is why it's best to get one with some sort of shut-off valves and a priming mechanism to keep the maintenance easy.
