I am real close to filling up my 125 long tank. The last thing I need is the lighting, and everything will be here Friday. My only concern is if I bought enough fixtures. Right now I planned on mounting 3 parallel with the tank. The problem comes in where my canopy is real short (I only have 5 inches to play with). Am I going to be able to cover the whole tank or will I need more?

AI sols are really nice, love the color they offer. That's beside the point though. The fixtures are 2.35 inches high leaving you 2.65 inches left. It's recommended 12" above the water level for good coverage. You might need another fixture in that case. If you do, it might be cheaper to not use the canopy at all and hanging them.

This person says they have "two SOL Blues over a 60" long x 18" wide by 23" deep reef mounted 12" above the water and the coverage is awesome with no dark spots or shadows."

Yeah, I guess ill see how it goes when they get here Monday. I bought the canopy so I'm gonna use it. Hopefully it looks ok...

So I finally got everything I needed to install them. Here is what I did. They are fully adjustable left to right, front to back.
