hey guys. so I have had my live rock for about two weeks and I noticed a little anenome right off the bat. however, it both is similar to and different from the aiptasia I have seen. this guy is not brown, and does not have swirly tentacles, if that makes sense. they donor curl at all, they seem pretty straight.

here are some pics: I tried to take better pictures with my camera but they came out awful. these are with my phone. (SEE PHOTOS IN SECOND POST THESE ONES SUCK SORRY), the dude is clear to slightly purple. hes in a little cranny in the rock. I have left him so far because I do not want to ditch something that could be cool, but now I am adding some cuc members and I don't want the anenome to do anything bad. he's really smallthough, about a fourth of an inch across. thoughts?

thanks!

first two with flash, others without. it is really little!

also the last photo up top is of a weird thing that's been growing on my live rock... any ideas? that's definitely not aiptasia haha I think it might be macro algae?

Looks like it get a couple of peppermint shrimps and let them eat it. If they don't try lemon juice in a Syringe with the rock out of the water. Shrimp always work for me tho.

thanks I will! do I just take the rock out and squirt the juice at him?

Take the rock out and inject the juice in to the aiptasia with a syringe. You will see the aiptasia bloat up so then stop and just put the rock back in the tank... It will take about two days to fully die off. Dont try to be gentle cause the aiptasia will retract in to the rock as soon at the needle touches it so as soon as you pierce the aiptasia inject the juice and get outa there :)
