Airpumps for power filters?

Do you need a airpump to run a 10 g filter?

I am pretty sure that you don't need an air pump for the filter to run. The only fiter I know of that does need an air pump is the Tetra Whisper 3i. And with that filter, the pump and tubing comes with it.

Any sponge filter will also need an air pump. Some filters have optional venturi hookups as well.
