Can anyone tell me what kind of algae it is and how to stop it from growing everywhere. I can scrub it off with a sponge but then by the next day its everywhere it was again. Its really hairy and moves with the current.

I feel your pain man it's in mine too, not that bad though. hair algae maybe?

Get some nerite snails maybe some Otto cats. What are your lighting specs and water conditions

I dont think its hair algae. mines more grey and not as clumpy. The pics dont do it justice

Well, it doesnt just brush off, but It comes off fairly easy.

Yuck, okay add a few otos. Maybe turn the lights off for 2 days too. scrub some off and suck it out of the water as your doing a water change. Or add some flourish excel.

I only have a 15 gallon so most Otos arent an option. Any suggestions like snails or shrimp? Yuck, flourish is expensive ;)

You can use snails. Try mystery snails or ramshorns, both are pretty inexpensive.
