algae wafers...

hello everybody...i have 2 otos in my 29 gal tank and i was wondering how often i should feed them with the algae wafers...i give it to them about once a week and also once a week i give them a stem of broccoli which they love...would that be enough? thanks!

how much algae do you have on your tank because ottos pretty much graze so that means they need to eat constantly to stay healthy....that of course doesnt mean put a wafer in 5 times a day but may be on in there once a day during feedng time

I think alot of these fish starve after they have successfully "cleaned" a tank so I would be sure to offer something daily.

I agree. They need food to stay alive. The number one cause of death for the majority of all algae eaters is starvation. You can also give them most veggies. Squash, zuchinni, cucumber, lettuce, etc. or supplement with algae/spirulina wafers.
