the peice of florida rock In my tank came with three round balls attached. they range in color from orange to yellow, the largest is the size of a dime. the store owner told me they were sponges but not what kind and how to care for them. my tank is cycling and I am worried they will not survive. what can I do?

sounds like sponges to me.

how to care for them. you dont. they are excellent filter feeders so they just exist livign on the microbes in the water
