Any way to lure MTS out of filter foam?

The foam in my HOB filter is full of little MTS. Is there anyway to get these guys out, or should I just let them be?

There is no safe way to get all of them out alive unfortunately. They hide in there and either you would have to risk destroying your beneficial bacteria to get them out or leave them there.

That's what I was afraid of. So much for dangling a carrot in front of them!

I sympathize completely. I have a ton of them in my 75 gal, and filter.
